Hoe je deze website optimaal kan gebruiken
Je bent hoogstwaarschijnlijk nieuw en je weet even niet waar je moet beginnen. Matthijs is de eigenaar van deze website en is bereid om iedereen op weg te helpen. Matthijs heeft veel te bieden waaronder documenten die kan je downloaden, bestemmingen bekijken, films en programma’s die op logische wijs online komt. Ik geef je graag een rondleiding. Ga je mee?
How to make the most of this website
You are most likely new and don't quite know where to start. Matthijs is the owner of this website and is willing to help everyone get started. Matthijs has a lot to offer, including documents you can download, destinations to view, and movies and programs that appear online in a logical way. I would be happy to give you a tour. De thuis pagina
laten we even bij het begin beginnen. Je komt de website hier binnen. Een intro tekst en daaronder 4 knoppen. Ik splits ze even op zodat je weet waar je terecht komt
Destinations
Klik je op deze knop dan kom je op een tussen pagina uit. Er word gevraagd naar welk specifiek continent je wilt gaan. Je kan kiezen uit Europa en Noord Amerika. Deze 2 pagina’s zijn ook tussen pagina’s en vragen je welk land of staat je heen wilt gaan. Je komt nu uit bij de pagina met daarin de blogs die zijn geüpload. Dat kunnen er 1 of meerdere zijn.
Travels
Deze knop leid je ook naar een tussen pagina. Travel Programs (de naam zegt het al) bied je de series aan die Matthijs elk jaar online gooit. Elke serie zoals Travel Tips en Travel stories worden in 10 delen elke week gepubliceerd. Travel tips start elk jaar in april en Travel Stories start elk jaar in september of oktober.
Featured
Als je hier op klikt kom je bij hoogtepunten uit. Elk jaar in december word er dan een foto album bestaande uit 9 foto’s met daarop de mooiste momenten. Als je naar beneden gaat zie Travel Trends. Elk jaar zie je nieuwe trends. Die worden daar gepubliceerd.
Download
als je op deze knop klikt zie je 5 verschillende blogs. Checklisten, planners, overzichten, zakelijke reis checklist en een blog gear up. Dat laatste is voor ski reizen en kamperen/survivallen. Alle documenten zijn gratis te downloaden om ze te printen. Alles is overzichtelijk op een A4tje gezet. Jij hoeft ze alleen maar even in te vullen.
The Home Page
Let's start at the beginning. You enter the website here. An intro text and below that 4 buttons. I will break them down so you know where you are going.
Destinations
If you click on this button, you will land on an intermediate page. You will be asked which specific continent you want to visit. You can choose between Europe and North America. These 2 pages are also intermediate pages and ask you which country or state you want to go to. You will now arrive at the page containing the blogs that have been uploaded. There can be one or more of them.
Travels
This button also leads you to an intermediate page. Travel Programs (the name says it all) offers you the series that Matthijs puts online every year. Each series, such as Travel Tips and Travel Stories, is published in 10 parts every week. Travel Tips starts every year in April and Travel Stories starts every year in September or October.
Featured
If you click on this, you will arrive at the highlights. Every year in December, a photo album consisting of 9 photos featuring the most beautiful moments is created. If you scroll down, you will see Travel Trends. Every year you will see new trends. These are published there.
Download
If you click on this button, you will see 5 different blogs. Checklists, planners, overviews, a business travel checklist, and a gear up blog. The latter is for ski trips and camping/survival. All documents are free to download and print. Everything is clearly organized on an A4 sheet. You just need to fill them in.

voor de telefoon zie je rechts boven 3 streepjes boven elkaar. Als je daar op klikt zie je verschillende pagina’s. HomePage, Featured, My destinations en Travel programs. Rechts van alle namen zie je een driehoekje. Daar zie je alle sub pagina’s. Je kunt nu kiezen uit vele pagina’s.

The menu
On the phone, you will see three horizontal lines stacked on top of each other in the top right. If you click on these, you will see various pages: HomePage, Featured, My destinations, and Travel programs. To the right of all the names, you will see a small triangle. There you will see all the subpages. You can now choose from many pages.
On the iPad and laptop, you will see the menu at the top. It is already expanded; to the right of the names, you will also see small triangles. If you click on these, you will see the subpages. You can now choose from many pages.
Zoek functie
Mocht je nou echt ten einde raad zijn dan heb je de zoek functie nog linksboven voor de telefoon en in het menu rechts voor de iPad en laptop. Elke pagina en blog is hier te vinden. Zelfs elke tip of verhaal is er te vinden. Dus mocht je het niet kunnen vinden dan kan je altijd de zoek functie gebruiken.
Search function
If you are truly at your wit's end, you still have the search function at the top left for the phone and in the menu on the right for the iPad and laptop. Every page and blog can be found here. Even every tip or story can be found there. So if you can't find it, you can always use the search function.
De footer
de website is in 3 delen opgedeeld. Het menu, de inhoud van de pagina en de footer. Logisch dat ik die onderaan zet. In de footer heb je als eerst het logo. Dat is de website logo. Als je goed oplet zie je dat logo altijd terug in de content die Matthijs maakt. Ook op documenten en in de films. Ook op Instagram bij reels kan je ze spotten. Dan weet je gelijk van wie het is. Dan heb je een kopje beoordeling. Je kan dan aan de hand van de sterren beoordelen hoe goed jij de website vind. Je krijgt 5 punten waarop je kan oordelen. Daarnaast kan je nog feedback geven of een compliment.
uitklap element
ook heb je een uitklap element. Alle pagina’s zijn verdeeld in categorieën. Als je op het pijltje die naar beneden wijst klikt zie je de links van elke pagina. Ook zie je een kopje website planning. Daar worden de belangrijkste agenda punten neer gezet per maand. Zoals een trip, een update of ander nieuws. Het kan zijn dat de agenda leeg is en dat er toch een update komt. Die is dan niet besproken maar wel uitgevoerd.
dan heb je nog een Instagram knop en de track my travel knop. Instagram spreekt voorzichtig maar de track my travel knop leid naar polarsteps. Voor reisbloggers een ideaal platform om je reis live te volgen. Ik heb er al een aantal op. Log in is wel vereist. Zeker als jij Matthijs wil volgen.
The Footer
The website is divided into 3 parts: the menu, the page content, and the footer. It makes sense that I place the latter at the bottom. First, in the footer, you have the logo. That is the website logo. If you pay close attention, you will always see that logo appear in the content Matthijs creates. Also in documents and in the videos. You can also spot them on Instagram in Reels. Then you know immediately who it belongs to. Next, there is a rating section. You can rate how good you think the website is based on the stars. You get 5 points on which to judge. Additionally, you can provide feedback or a compliment.
Expandable element
There is also an expandable element. All pages are divided into categories. If you click on the downward-pointing arrow, you will see the links for each page. You also see a website planning section. The most important agenda items are listed there per month, such as a trip, an update, or other news. It is possible that the agenda is empty, but an update will still be coming. This update will not have been discussed, but it will have been implemented. Then you also have an Instagram button and the Track My Travel button. Instagram speaks cautiously, but the Track My Travel button leads to Polarsteps. For travel bloggers, it is an ideal platform to follow your trip live. I already have a few on there. Logging in is required, though. Especially if you want to follow Matthijs.
Leuke feitjes
De website is bedacht door Matthijs. Woont in Nederland. Deze blog was er nooit geweest als IGTV nog bestond. Je kon met die app langere video’s plaatsen op Instagram. De film van 2022 in Amerika kon niet geplaatst worden en dus besloot Matthijs een website te bouwen. Dit is dus het resultaat.
wat begon als blog over bestemmingen is inmiddels uitgegroeid naar meer. Series, documenten en films. Er is veel te ontdekken en jij weet nu exact waar je zoeken moet. Fun Facts
The website was conceived by Matthijs. He lives in the Netherlands. This blog would never have existed if IGTV still were. You could use that app to post longer videos on Instagram. The 2022 film in America could not be posted, so Matthijs decided to build a website. This is the result.
What started as a blog about destinations has since grown into something more. Series, documentaries, and films. There is much to discover, and you now know exactly where to look.
